Polina Pacin (Artist)

Polina is a passionate young artist, formerly a proud citizen of
Prague, currently living in Winnipeg, Canada, with her husband and
young son. Growing up in Prague, Polina viewed the world with a
creative eye from a tender age, which led her to eventually study
Applied Art at the prestigious SUPS.CZ in Prague. Watercolour became her calling, and with a focus on techniques using limited palette,
avoiding pencil sketching, whites and masking fluid, Polina brings an
impression of freshness to her art. She employs both wet-on-wet and
dry-on-wet methods, playing with light, space, and shadows. Also
employing bright colours, Polina strives to instill the viewer with the
whole atmosphere of the presented scene. Polina's inspiration primarily
derives from surrounding nature, with her favourite themes including
trees, flowers, rolling landscapes, and foaming seashores. Her works
have so far had a limited audience but nevertheless already are
displayed in homes and places in both Europe and North America.
